What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. This page lists every cookie we set, what each one is for, and how long it lasts.

Cookies we set

All of the cookies below are strictly necessary: the site cannot work correctly without them, so they are set without asking. None of them track you across other websites, and none are shared with advertisers.

  • laravel_session — Keeps your visit connected from one page to the next, so things like form submissions and signing in work. It holds a session identifier, not your details. Stored for 2 hours.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — Protects forms against cross-site request forgery, so a form you submit cannot be triggered from another site pretending to be you. Stored for 2 hours.
  • remember_web_* — Set only if you tick "remember me" when signing in to the client portal or the admin area, so you are not asked for your password on every visit. Stored for 5 years, or until you sign out.
  • cookie_consent — Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner so we do not ask again on every page. It records which categories you allowed, and nothing about you. Stored for 6 months.

Analytics and marketing cookies

We do not currently set any analytics or marketing cookies. There is no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, or similar tracking on this website.

The cookie banner still offers these controls so you can record a preference in advance. If we ever do add analytics or marketing cookies, we will name them on this page, and we will ask you again rather than relying on a choice you made before they existed.

Measuring how the calculators are used

When someone opens or completes one of our calculators we add one to a counter on our own server. No cookie is involved, nothing is stored on your device, and the count cannot be linked back to you.

This counting only happens if you allow analytics in the cookie banner. If you reject, or have not chosen yet, nothing is counted.

Third parties

Our fonts, scripts and default images are served from our own servers, so most pages contact nobody else.

There are currently no third-party image or script hosts on the public site.

Changing your mind

Select "Cookie Settings" at the foot of any page to reopen the cookie banner and change or withdraw your choice at any time. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings, though removing the strictly necessary ones will stop parts of the site working.
